Steve has been married to Laura since 1993, and they have one son, Jaylin. Steve became an elder in 2018, and shares that it has been a blessing to see the congregation work together in both good times and difficult times.

A fun fact about Steve is that in the past, he was a Disney trivia expert, going to the Disney Store National Trivia Finals at Disneyland in 1993, 1995, and 1997.
